The Song of the Dragon’s Fury

The Song of the Dragon’s Fury

I am a simple man and a bard. I spend my nights singing in taverns to warm hearts and help people remember the brave deeds of the past. Today, I bring you the story of three adventurers who stood against a legend: a dragon that brought terror to our kingdom in its search for gold and power.

Shadows over Starvale

The story begins in a quiet village called Starvale. Everything seemed calm, but fear was in the air. Vorgath, a winged serpent as old as the mountains, flew down from the Dawn Peaks to claim our land. He spread fire and chaos wherever he went. His name was whispered with terror in every home, and many believed no one could stop him.

Three Heroes Rise

In those dark times, three heroes came together:

  • Alaric: A warrior with strong arms and a sharp sword. He was the village’s shield, always ready to protect those who could not fight for themselves.
  • Lyra: A hunter who was as fast as the wind. Her eyes could see clearly in the dark, and her arrows never missed their mark.
  • Brother Silas: A priest whose faith was his strongest weapon. He could heal deep wounds and protect his friends with a circle of holy light.

They met in a small cabin near the forest to prepare. The air was heavy with both focus and fear. Alaric sharpened his steel, Lyra checked her bowstrings, and Brother Silas prayed for the strength to survive the coming fight.

The Battle in the Woods

Their plan was simple but dangerous. Alaric would face the dragon head-on to catch its attention. Lyra would hide among the trees and shoot fast arrows from the shadows. Brother Silas would stay close to heal their injuries and keep the dragon’s dark magic away.

When the sun went down, they marched into the woods. The night was silent until the ground began to shake. The air grew hot, and the smell of sulfur told them that Vorgath was near.

The battle started with a deafening roar. The dragon breathed giant waves of fire, but Alaric blocked them with his shield, moving forward step by step. Lyra’s arrows flashed in the firelight, hitting the monster between its thick scales. Brother Silas shouted his prayers, surrounding his friends with a golden light that kept them from falling.

“True courage is not the absence of fear, but the strength to protect what you love.”

The fight lasted for hours. Finally, Alaric—tired and wounded—spotted a weak point in the scales on the dragon’s chest. With one last cry, he drove his sword deep into the beast’s heart. The dragon let out one final roar and fell silent. The monster was defeated.

A New Dawn

When the sun rose, the people of Starvale came out of their homes. They found the three heroes exhausted but victorious. They brought back peace and a story that would be told for generations.

So ends the song I sing to you: a story of a warrior’s courage, a hunter’s skill, and a priest’s faith. May their names live forever in our songs and by our firesides.
